I've been sketching out what I now know is 'fanfic' since the 80's, when my attention was on Quantum Leap and Duran Duran music videos, long hand on paper (when my hand-writing was still legible...barely). Stumbled upon the internet in 1995, and did my first search (through AltaVista) for Due South and then had to do another search on the word 'fanfic' to find out what all the references were for...and it's been all down hill since then. Who'd a thunk fanfic could be so addictive. And finding likeminded souls in fandom has been a revelation.

Also an unapologetic geek or nerd or whatever (Trekker, Trekkie, honestly why split hairs?!) Anyhow, have laptop / ipad will travel. So that adds even more fuel to the fire on the stereotype issue : 50-something, geek 'girl' who loves sci-fi, fanfic and tv. So sue me. Although I'd rather you didn't since I don't have the $$, or even a cat I can give you.
